My name is Jessica Baker and I’m running for Florida House District 17 because like so many of you, I’m ready to tune out the politically driven outrage and focus on Florida-based outcomes for our families, our businesses and our communities that protect and promote what makes our state the envy of the nation.

As a prosecutor and military wife, I understand the sacrifices our men and women in uniform make each and every day and am committed to ensuring they have the resources and support they need to keep our families and our communities safe. I will promote common sense ideas that bring people together to solve problems and build a stronger sense of community. Our best days are in front of us when we all work together.

Jessica will work to fight Inflation and increases to the cost of living by getting government out of the way. She will fight for balanced budgets, lower taxes and responsible spending to bring prices down. Jessica will advocate for increased investments into our transportation infrastructure, good stewardship of our environment and smart growth strategies to improve our quality of life.

Improving Public Education

Jessica is a product of public schools and believes we must have a world-class education system that prepares our children for success. She will empower parents to make choices that best reflect their own needs, expand school choice options and invest in making sure we have the best teachers in the classroom. Jessica believes families are best positioned to make decisions, not bureaucrats or a one size fits all system.

Keeping Our Community Safe

Jessica believes that ensuring public safety is the most important responsibility of government. As a prosecutor and military wife, defending our community is a family value to Jessica. She will advocate for more funding for public safety, increased use of innovative technology to fight crime and will never support defunding the police.
